Seattle = R.A.I.N. While locals try to fight grand perception of our lush city, Mother Nature’s tears are simply unavoidable during the winter months.
Slow steam rises as a floral-scented tea flows into my cup. This experience is replicated 500,000 times a year as tea gently streams from a china teapot into ornate royal teacups. It is the sound that symbolizes the beginning of another afternoon tea at the majestic Fairmont Empress.
The international tea scene may be experiencing a resurgence (if you haven’t heard, tea is the new coffee 🙂), but Victoria has long been one of the epicenters for tea connoisseurs. After all, in a culture-rich town that offers a unique mix of Old-World charm and new world experiences, tea is the perfect mascot.
